Long expected, the summer break is to busy, multitasking, constantly occupied city people what Christmas is to children. Change of scenery, daily routine and clothing. Water, sand, stones, wind, sun, night sky become part of you like never before. Simple, earthy elements that are now much more appreciated, enough to take you away from stressful thoughts and capture your eye for a moment. Deadlines are for a while not important and scheduling your day revolves around finding somewhere nice to swim, eat, walk or lay.
In the old ferry that takes us back to the city, after a very relaxing short escape in the Ionian sea, my head feels lighter and my eyes manage to stay focused in a single point with no distractions (nor guilty feelings). Looks like it was time worth spent!
